We are so excited to share with you our new Executive Director, Travis! A little bit about Travis: Travis grew up in a small town in rural central Wisconsin. As a kid, he enjoyed being outside,
hunting, playing sports and spending time with family. After living in La Crosse for college, he and his high school sweetheart moved to Madison to start their careers and get married. They have lived
in the greater Madison area since 2010 and now live in Deerfield with their three kids- (ages 8, 5 and 2) and two dogs- Nash and Jett. Travis enjoys coaching youth sports, volunteering with the
Deerfield Lions Club, cooking on the grill and smoker, tinkering in the garage and camping with his family. Fun Fact: Travis is the reigning three-time champion of the neighborhood chicken wing
cook-off contest held each summer. Travis is excited to get started and is looking forward to meeting residents, families and staff very soon! #bestseniorliving

It was Spa Day in Memory Care today. The day included rejuvenation foot soaks with massage, hand and head massages, yoga with gentle stretches, spa music, aromatherapy and tasty snacks. It's National Activity Week and we are celebrating the amazing team we have at Talamore Senior Living.
Maddy Brown has been with Talamore for three years as our Life Enrichment Director. Maddy has a degree in Business Management and comes with almost fifteen years of experience working in senior living. She has a passion for encouraging seniors to live their most enriching lives through resident engagement and connectivity. Born and raised in Sun Prairie, Maddy enjoys spending time with her husband, young daughter, and two dogs.
Tyler is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor with a degree in Fitness and Wellness. I enjoy working with seniors and watching their quality of life improve because of exercise. I currently run five different exercise classes for our residents, as well as assist in the activities offered throughout the day. In my free time, you may find me doing something that involves cars, on the golf course, in the gym exercising, or spending time with my family. Talamore is a great place to work thanks to the strong management team and the wonderful residents.

Many senior citizens put off a move to a senior living community during the pandemic. “They were worried about their physical and mental well-being. But isolation and not being able to see their loved ones is a major concern for seniors now,” explained MaryLouise Wallace, Executive Director of Talamore Sun Prairie.
On Wake Up Wisconsin Tuesday, Wallace said there are benefits to moving to a senior living community, including social activities and life enrichment opportunities. She shared some suggestions for people to keep in mind when considering communities:
- Look for a place that makes you feel at home and gives you a sense of peace.
- Talk to people who live at the facility to see how they like it there.
- Ask the staff questions to make sure they can provide the type of care you or a loved one requires.
