Our residents visited the famous Circus World this week where they enjoyed a tour of the Circus World Museum and stayed for lunch. The Circus World was home to the Ringling Brothers Circus from 1884 to 1918. In the decades that followed, a group of dedicated people came together to preserve this important part of Wisconsin history.

Exercise is a key part of lifestyle at the Talamore. We are six classes weekly with our Certified Physical Trainer, Tyler. This class is Range of Motion, a fully seated class focused on mobility, deep breathing, flexibility and stretching, all while enjoying relaxing classical piano music. #bestseniorliving

It was a packed house for a very special guest Josh Farley who performed a wonderful magic show!
A bit about Josh:
."....my family and I traveled back to upstate, NY to visit my grandmother for the last time I got to see her. I was wrestling with the idea of going back to college. She was wrestling with dementia. Without realizing it she changed my life that week. One of the phrases she repeated maybe 100 times was, "we work we work we work and where does it get us." I didn't fully understand what she meant because we all have to work. But, one of my first shows was for my grandmother and one of the last memories I have with her was performing for her and her memory care unit. On the way home I realized what she meant. It's not that working isn't important, working is very important, but why we work is so much more than just making money."

At the Talamore we have a wide variety of card clubs including Sheepshead, Euchre, Cribbage, Five Crowns, Bunko, Bridge, Kings Corners and plenty of board games. This is a great way to build friendships and keep an active brain!
